Busy, busy, busy – that’s our weekend!

It’s a crazy busy weekend around here and we don’t want to miss a thing.  So, here’s the to-do list to help us out and maybe it will help you out too!

Thursday – Saturday

Canton Liberty Fest gets first mention because it is an enormous event at Heritage Park in Canton with multiple activities going.  This year, community heroes are celebrated.  We could go on and on and give every little detail and the full schedule, but that’s been done so just click here for that.

We’re kind of interested in seeing all the folks dressed in Statue of Liberty costumes on Saturday morning to create a Guiness World Record of people “dressed as this American icon.” Oh, and what makes this even more interesting?  They’ll be running up to 10 kms in those outfits!

Also, incredible talent at the ampitheater, a marketplace, terrific amusement park rides, charity pancake breakfast on Saturday, charity spaghetti dinner Friday, charity chicken dinners all day Saturday … oops, we weren’t going to give all the deets.  Okay, one more thing:  totally awesome fireworks on Saturday night!

Friday

Music in the Air – a free concert in downtown Plymouth, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Bring a chair or blanket, grab a snack from a local shop or bring stuff from home and hang out listening to great local talent … for free!

Oh, and The Hunger Games is playing at The Penn in downtown Plymouth – all seats just $3. Click here for showtimes.

Saturday

Plymouth Farmers Market – 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at The Gathering next to The Penn Theater in downtown Plymouth.  Not only a great place to get some locally grown and made foods and goods, but downtown Plymouth is a great place to hang out on a Saturday morning.  Start your weekend off right and head downtown!

Drive-In Theater at Compuware Arena is open seven days a week and showing movies currently in theaters!  Check out the schedule for this weekend by clicking here.

Sunday – Father’s Day!

Plymouth YMCA’s 33rd Annual Father’s Day Run in downtown Plymouth.  No, it’s not to late to register or be a volunteer.  Click here for the info!  It’s also great to come and hangout at Kellogg Park because the positive energy at the start/finish line is electric!

Stop in at the Canton Farmers Market on Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Preservation Park (Ridge, north of Cherry Hill).  Great local produce and goods available, as well as activities for kids, live entertainment, and you can even get yummy lunch there!  This Sunday, Ryan Brake will be playing the saxophone on the porch from 10:00 to 1:00!

And don’t forget to honor Dad and the other father-like people in your life on this day (and every day).

Join Us!
