There are lots of fun, family-friendly Fourth of July events in Plymouth and Northville Michigan this year!
July 3: Dueling Pianos in Canton
Check out the free concert featuring dueling pianos at the amphitheater in Canton‘s Heritage Park! Always free and no rain in the forecast! CLICK HERE for more information.
July 3: First Friday Experience in Northville
Due to the holiday, Northville’s First Friday Experience will run a day early. Downtown Northville merchants stay open a little later, feature great sidewalk and indoor sales, and offer refreshments. A great way to experience downtown Northville!
July 3: Plymouth Fourth of July Fireworks
Start with the Plymouth Michigan fireworks at 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 3rd (yes – that is July 3) at Plymouth Township Park (McClumpha Park) on the north side of Ann Arbor Trail, east of Beck Road. This display is an area favorite, so arrive early to get a decent parking spot!
Plymouth Fourth of July Parade
The parade rolls down Main Street in Plymouth Michigan beginning at 9:00 a.m. and is a wonderful way to start your Fourth of July!
Plymouth Picnic
Another annual tradition in Plymouth Michigan is the Fourth of July Good, Old-fashioned Picnic. The picnic runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Plymouth Township Park (McClumpha Park) located on the north side of Ann Arbor Trail, east of Beck Road. This is a wonderful community event open to everyone and features everyone’s favorites: hot dogs, ice cream, and games!
Northville Parade
The Northville Community Foundation again hosts the Independence Day Parade in Northville Michigan on July 4th, beginning at 10 a.m. CLICK HERE for a map of the parade route, which largely runs through the center of town. Arrive early to secure a great viewing spot! This parade is a TON of fun!
Northville Free Concert
Check out the free concert in Northville’s Town Square on Friday the 4th – free this Friday and every Friday!
Mill Race Village Events
Northville’s historic area, Mill Race Village, will be hosting a variety of events at 215 Grisold Street on July 4th. Join in the fun – the old-fashioned way!
The Eclipse -Vintage Base Ball!
The Eclipse is a vintage base ball team whose home field is Ford Field in Northville. The field is located adjacent to Mill Race Village, so take in this “gentleman’s game” with rules from long ago that say no spitting, swearing, sliding, or any sort of playing glove! The game is at noon, versus Port Huron Welkins.
Please note that there will NOT be a Canton Farmers Market this Sunday (July 6th). The market picks back up the following week.
