December was a difficult month for home sellers in the Plymouth area: Both the average listing price and median sales price decreased.
While the recent data is great news for home buyers looking to get a good deal on a home, it’s not great news for those sellers hoping to get top dollar for their home.

Plymouth Homes for Sale
Here’s a look at the latest Plymouth MI real estate activity, based on the real estate website Trulia:
- Currently there are 222 resale and new homes on the market, including 102 homes in some stage of the foreclosure process.
- Between 2010 and 2011, the number of home sales decreased by 42.5 percent.
- Between September and November, the median sales price for Plymouth homes was $182,500, which represents a 1.9 percent decrease when compared to last year.
- During that same period in 2010, the median sales price was $186,005.
- Between September and November of this year, the median sales price for a 2-bedroom Plymouth home was $110,000.
- The median sales price for a 3-bedroom home was $155,000
- And the median sales price for a 4-bedroom home was $196,000

- During the week ending on December 21, the average listing price for Plymouth homes was $284,473, which represents a 0.4 percent decrease from the previous week.
