We’ve introduced you to many local restaurants, services, and businesses in this blog but we’ve got a little something different this time. It’s Balance Yoga Therapy in downtown Plymouth Michigan where wellness in mind and body is the goal. Please meet and welcome Tricia, our guest blogger, who explains what Balance Yoga Therapy is all about.
In Her Own Words
We actually have two separate types of services that we provide under one roof. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, so I provide counseling for individuals and couples for all sorts of issues. I am also a yoga teacher and yoga therapist. People come to Balance Yoga Therapy for yoga classes and private lessons to strengthen and improve flexibility in their bodies and learn how to breathe properly to reduce stress and improve mental concentration and focus. I have several extremely talented and experienced teachers working here and we really pride ourselves on delivering an amazing experience.
Specialities
Two answers here as well! For counseling, I have a holistic approach to helping people that includes traditional psychotherapy that is solution-oriented and takes into account environmental and lifestyle factors as they affect our moods and how we are conditioned to react to situations. I support people and accept them as they are and respect their faith, culture and belief systems.
For yoga, we provide personalized attention. We have a small space that only fits 10 mats for classes so we can give everyone the attention that they deserve. I love being able to really get to know people and to help them find their strength.
I have dedicated my life to helping people both directly through my work and indirectly through my volunteer and charitable work, we all need to share our talents. Over the years, I have assisted hundreds of people with learning how to maximize their healing potential.
Some of the types of issues our clients come to us with include:
- Anger Management
- Knee Rehabilitation pre or post op
- Hip Rehabilitation pre or post op
- Athletic Yoga for Athletes
- Anxiety
- Borderline Personality
- Depression
- Low self-esteem
- Children with autism
- Work or sports related bodily imbalance
- Back pain reduction
