The Rolling Stoves Food Truck

At the recent Winter Farmer’s Market in Canton, we found this cool food truck.  Owned and operated by Mansfield Catering out of Farmington Michigan, this thing appears at area events and also available for private events! Imagine it showing up at your office party or your kid’s graduation party!  What a riot!

The menu can vary, but we are seeing menu items like chipotle chicken wraps, pulled pork on grilled cheese (what?! yeah!), and baked potato soup with garlic-roasted scallions. How’s that for tempting!

We contacted the folks at The Rolling Stoves to ask them what they’re all about and here’s what they told us.

In Their Own Words

What started as a casual conversation around the kitchen table with family, turned into a reality just a few short weeks later. We both have a passion for food. We love the creativity food inspires, and the way it brings people together. Every gathering is better if food is involved!

As long-time Michigan residents, we want to support our state.  When customers tell us how great our food is, it gives us a satisfying feeling knowing our good food was made using local ingredients. We want to support the community.  With that in mind, we buy our produce at local farm markets and our meats from local specialty
stores.

While others spend their downtime napping, or watching TV, we are either at the table creating new menus, or in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes. We want our menu options to be as fresh as our ingredients! We also want to grow a list of faithful customers, who will always want to visit our truck because they know
whatever is on the menu will be delicious, unique, and never boring! Rolling Stoves is owned and run by a couple living their dream: owning a business that allows creativity with food, surrounded by fun people.

Positive Reviews!

We read some of the reviews on their Facebook page, and they are all positive.  One struck us as particularly great. It said, “Lost a star for not being outside my work for lunch every day and being my personal chefs. Maybe unrealistic but that’s how good these guys are”.  Says it all!  One more thing:  They get their ingredients from local suppliers.  Can’t beat that.
