Despite the fact that the total number of home sales have decreased lately on the Canton real estate market, home sales prices are still holding strong.

Here’s the most recent market data available on Canton, based on information from the real estate website, Trulia:

  • Between January and March, the average price per square foot for Canton homes was $85, up 4.9 percent when compared to the same period last year.
  • Also between January and March, the median sales price for homes was $146,900, which was based on 101 home sales.
  • During that same period in 2011, the median home sales price was $140,000. That means that the home sales price increased by 4.9 percent between 2011 and 2012.

  • Also, the total number of homes for sale decreased by 70.3 percent between 2011 and 2012.

  • During that previous week, the average listing price was $214,050.
  • During the week ending on April 25, the average listing price for a 2-bedroom Canton home was $106,869.
  • The average listing price for a 3-bedroom home was $164,548.
  • And the average listing price for a 4-bedroom home was $277,726
