It was a good time to be a Plymouth home seller during the past month, based on the most recent market data.

Even though the number of home sales decreased when compared to the previous year, the average price per square foot as well as the median home sales price actually increased.

Homes for Sale in Plymouth, MI

Here’s an overview of the current state of the Plymouth real estate market, based on data gathered from the real estate website Trulia:

  • Currently there are 241 homes for sale on the Plymouth housing market, including 90 in some stage of the foreclosure process.
  • Between November and January, the average price per square foot for a home in Plymouth was $117, an increase of 18.2 percent when compared to the same period a year ago.
  • During that same period, the median sales price increased by 18 percent – from $159,552 to $188,250.
  • And the number of home sale decreased by 75.4 percent during that same period year-over-year.
  • During the week ending on February 15, the average listing price for Plymouth homes was $278,242, which is the same price it was a week before that.
  • Here’s how nearby communities compared in terms of average listing price:
    • Northville: $463,894
    • Salem: $682,333
    • Canton: $204,854
    • Novi: $322,216
    • Livonia: $125,450
    • South Lyon: $266,999
  • During the week ending on February 15, the median sales price for a 2-bedroom Plymouth home was $341,500.
  • The median sales price for a 3-bedroom home was $231,500.
  • And the median sales price for a 4-bedroom Plymouth home was $275,950

    • Northville: $305,000
    • Salem: $139,000
    • Canton: $149,500
    • Novi: $150,000
    • Livonia: $115,700
