In today’s blog, we would like to introduce you to Canton illustrator Fran Mason. Born in Livonia, Fran left the state in 1976 and traveled and worked all over the country for more than 30 years. Recently, she returned to the “homeland” and says she couldn’t be happier.
In Fran’s Words
“Returning to Michigan and specifically to Canton has been really great. Michiganders are incredibly friendly and helpful. Southeast Michigan has everything that any big city has to offer, without the huge cost of living or insane traffic. I love, further, that Canton is so diverse. The many cultures instill diversity and tolerance, not to mention tons of fabulous restaurants! I love it here!”
Fran is a freelance illustrator. Her work is colorful and irreverent, just like her personality (larger than life!). In addition to her freelance work, Fran is currently also working on a children’s book that pairs silly poems with her original illustrations.
