  • Currently there are 413 homes for sale on the Canton housing market, including 306 in some stage of the foreclosure process.
  • Between October and December of 2011, the average price per square foot for a Canton home was $88, up 1.1 percent when compared to the same period in 2010.
  • During that same time, the median sales price was $152,506, based on 180 home sales.
  • When compared to the same period in 2010, the median home sales price has decreased by about 2 percent.
  • And the number of home sales decreased by about 44.1 percent between 2010 and 2011.
  • During the week ending on January 25, the average listing price for a Canton home for sale was $199,982, down 3 percent when compared to the week before.
  • During that previous week, the average listing price was $206,185.

Novi: $316,051
Livonia: $122,129
South Lyon: $269,755

  • During the week ending on January 25, the median sales price for a 2-bedroom Canton home was $61,334,
  • During that same week, the median sales price for a 3-bedroom home was $145,000.

Novi: $151,686
Livonia: $115,000
