Starting on July 3rd, you have several opportunities to catch a beautiful fireworks display or patriotic parade in Plymouth and Northville, Michigan and surrounding areas. And, great things are happening on the Fourth of July in Plymouth and Northville, so check out the schedules below!
Northville Celebration!
The patriotic parade starts at 10:00 a.m. and heads through the streets of downtown Northville, Michigan. The parade has been a highlight of our summers here for 16 years and is full of characters, vintage cars, bikes, pets, bands, and tons of other fun stuff, including the Plymouth Fife and Drum Band!
Stick around town afterwards to wander the unique shops, have a delicious bite in one of the fabulous restaurants, or stroll through Mill Race Village for a bit of Civil War history!
Plymouth Township Celebration!
Always a great show in Plymouth Township Park! Plymouth fireworks are on FRIDAY, JULY 3RD! Some sources say they start at 10:00 p.m. while others say 10:15, so let’s go with 10:00 to be safe. Note that the park will be closed until 7:30 p.m. for preparations. Get there early to stake out your spot! A little insect repellant isn’t a bad idea!
On the Fourth, enjoy Plymouth’s annual Good Morning USA Parade starting at 9:00 a.m. down Main Street in Plymouth
Don’t forget the Old-Fashioned Picnic on July 4th, 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m at Plymouth Township Park. Hot dogs, ice cream, and lots of games. Good, old-fashioned fun on the Fourth!
Fireworks on the Fourth
None of our communities will be having fireworks on the Fourth of July, but if you care to venture outside our city limits, you can catch these shows:
- Grosse Pointe Farms Regatta and Fireworks
- Trenton Independence Day Fireworks
- Gibraltar July 4th Festival
