Did you know that incredible, locally-grown produce is available every day at Mary’s Farm Market? If not, it’s time you did! Mary’s Farm Market is not new, but it’s definitely a place you need to know about. Mary Hauk, owner of Mary’s Farm Market, tells us a bit about her business today.
In Their Own Words
I am a 3rd generation Hauk and still farming in Canton. The family business started in 1919. My children do help with the farm but they also have full-time jobs as well.
I own Mary’s Farm Market at the corner of Ford and Beck Roads. We will be celebrating our 20th year at the corner this year!
The Hauk Farms (Mary’s Farm Market) is known for sweet corn and honeyrocks. I raise many other things as well but those are the staples of the market.
We will start this produce season with the ability to order produce online, for pickup or delivery. Delivery will be with a charge and within a certain mile radius (to be determined). I think that will be exciting for the working family. It reminds me of the milkman bringing your delivery to your door. For the busy family, we can have a box of fresh produce ready for you when you get home or you can swing by and just pick up your order all ready to go for you.
We are open from May to December. In the spring, we offer flowers in flats of flowers, hanging flowers, and prepared pots as well. We also offer pumpkins, corn stalks, and other decorations in the fall and Christmas trees and other greenery in December.
