A perennial event – a favorite one at that! – is the Plymouth Ice Festival. Held every January just after the new year turns, this is an event that brings people from near and far to experience incredible talent, a great atmosphere, and community spirit in the historic and beautiful downtown Plymouth, MI.
ICE FESTIVAL FUN
Centered in Kellogg Park, the Plymouth Ice Festival transforms the area into a winter wonderland.
The ice sculptures are created on the spot and judged for awards. Don’t miss the dueling chainsaws on Saturday night at 7pm! Sculptures are on display 24-hours a day, and will remain long after the event is over. Well, that is, if Mother Nature keeps the freezing temps for us.
Go ahead and plan to make a day (or evening) out of it. Wander the displays and take in some local shopping to support local small businesses. Of course, there is no shortage of amazing eats in DTP. If nightlife is what you crave, you won’t be disappointed. Several great locations in the downtown area as well.
