There is a very special movie event coming up, and we thought you should know about it. It’s brought to you by the Marching Band at the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park. Spokesperson Kristan Rodwell approached us about sharing the information about this event, and here she provides all the details. The movie sounds pretty cool and its showing will support this outstanding group of local performers as they represent at – oh, yes, we’re really saying this – the 2016 ROSE BOWL PARADE!

In Her Own Words
The Plymouth Canton Winter Drumline is part of the state champion Plymouth Canton Marching Band. The drumline is hosting a fundraiser at the Canton Goodrich Movie Theater on April 1, 2015 at 7:30 pm in hopes to raise money for new equipment and the Rose Bowl 2016 Parade. The band performs locally in the Memorial Day Parade and Fourth of July Parade, supporting and celebrating the community. You can also see them at every home football game.
About the Movie
This movie is about the famous drum core, Madison Scouts. It follows three young men over the summer. Often referred to as “marching band on steroids,” drum and bugle corps push young people to extreme levels, both physically and mentally — all for one 11-minute performance. This movie has yet to be shown in Michigan. The percussion instructor for Madison Scouts is actually the Plymouth Canton Marching band instructor for us as well and is in the movie.
