Life Remodeled may sound just like something you would expect a Realtor to write about. After all, remodeling is an important part of increasing a home’s value and preparing it for sale.
Large-Scale Remodeling
LIFE REMODELED – AUGUST 11, 2014 TO AUGUST 17, 2014But, this remodeling project is different. Life Remodeled is an extremely large remodeling project on a huge scale. How large? Like, 10,000 volunteers huge. The goal? Remove blight, add beauty. Starting with Cody High School in Detroit, this program aims to tackle a hefty list of interior and exterior projects to improve facilities for neighborhood children. It doesn’t stop there. It extends to the pathways students will take to get to and from school, as well as about 20 individual homes.

How does this warrant space in our blog this week? True, we usually use the blog at the end of the week to talk about life in Plymouth, Canton, and Northville Michigan and this work will be taking place in Detroit. But we really wanted you to know about the need in the Detroit community and the OPPORTUNITY that we all have to get involved and help with this kind of cause.

We’re rounding up our own troops and getting involved in this project. The food crew over the six days of the event will consist of 900 people, taking care of about 10,000 volunteer workers over those same six days.
