Never a dull moment, there are always fun things to do in the Plymouth, Canton, and Northville MI communities!
Of course, we continue to enjoy the farmers markets at this time of year. Northville’s market is located at the corner of Sheldon and 7 Mile and is open on Thursdays. Plymouth’s market is located in downtown Plymouth next to the Penn Theater on Saturday mornings. Canton’s market is located at Preservation Park on Ridge Road just north of the Village Theater at Cherry Hill, just north of the Cherry Hill Village subdivision.
Here are just a few fun things to do this weekend!
Scarecrows in the Park
Kellogg Park in beautiful downtown Plymouth hosts the scarecrows. Take a stroll with the family and see how creative local individuals and groups can be! While you’re there, enjoy lunch, dinner or a yummy treat from one of the nearby restaurants. Or maybe take in Despicable Me 2 at the Penn Theater, where each seat is just $3. Makes for a great afternoon! The scarecrows populate the park from September 20 to November 3.
Pups and Pumpkins
Join the folks and furry friends from the Humane Society of Huron Valley at this fun event hosted by Plymouth Nursery (9900 W. Ann Arbor Road). There are special sales, refreshments, prizes, and even a few beautiful animals who need a home. Oh yeah, and kitties are welcome too! Saturday, September 21st from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Maybury Farm’s Harvest Day
A great day to visit the animals at the farm, but also to enjoy the grand opening of the corn maze! Word on the street is that it is better than ever because of the thick crop of corn stalks. The maze is open 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. starting on Saturday, September 21 and admission is listed at only $2.50! You can find the farm on 8 Mile Road, west of Beck. For more information, click here!
