Plymouth homes for saleReflecting trends seen on the greater Wayne County real estate market, Plymouth’s real estate market has had quite the successful last few weeks!

After all, the average price per square foot has shown year-over-year increases, as has the median sales price.

Properties for Sale in Plymouth, Michigan

Here’s an overview of recent activity on the local housing market:

  • Currently there are 161 homes for sale on the market, including 67 in some stage of the foreclosure process.
  • The average price per square foot for homes here is $138, up 15 percent from the same period last year.
  • Between March and May, the median sales price for homes was $220,000 based on 155 home sales.
  • When compared to last year, the median sales price has increased 18.5 percent, or about $34,300.
  • Meanwhile, the total number of home sales decreased by 0.6 percent.
  • Here’s a look at how other communities did in terms of median sales price:
    • Salem: $167,500
    • Northville: $325,106
    • Novi: $223,006
    • Livonia: $124,068
    • South Lyon: $155,000
    • Superior Township: $48,000
  • During the week ending on June 19, the average listing price for Plymouth homes was $347,831, up 6.4 percent from the week before.
  • Specifically, the average listing price for a 2-bedroom home in Plymouth was $152,675.
  • The average listing price for a 3-bedroom home was $228,112
  • And the average listing price for a 4-bedroom home was $435,777.
  • Here’s how other communities compared in terms of average listing price:
    • Salem: $445,000
    • Northville: $457,980
    • Novi: $365,059
    • Livonia: $167,289
    • South Lyon: $346,890
    • Superior Township: $277,333
