Director Barbara Bloom of Novi says: ” Perfect for children 5 and up! Michigan playwright Susan Berg has adapted this classic tale to share about a young boy who is beginning to grow up and how he wonders if he is too old for his toys. He loves his toys and as we come to find out, love is what makes a toy “real.” Velveteen is a favorite of the boy and she longs to become real. A special appearance from the Garden Fairy changes things in a way that neither the Velveteen Rabbit, nor the Boy will ever forget!”

This play is about 1.5 hours and has a 15 minute intermission. This charming show will have many sweet moments and even a dance or two! Reserve your seats now, limited seating.  Tickets are only $10!  Click here to purchase tickets.

No stranger to adapting fairy tales to the stage, Susan Berg said: “I have written nine adaptations of classic fairy tales and all of them have been produced. … (for The Velveteen Rabbit) the copyright expired and it became public domain … I thought a modern story would be a nice change of pace.”
