Plymouth, MI Real Estate Market Report for September

The last month has been an all-around success for those navigating the Plymouth real estate market as a home seller!

That’s because the average price per square foot, the median home sales price and the total number of home sales have all increased!

This is the first time in several weeks that that has been the case!

Homes for Sale in Plymouth, Michigan

Here are the highlights of the most recent Plymouth housing market data:

  • Currently there are 225 homes for sale, including 99 in some stage of the foreclosure process.
  • Between May and July, the average price per square foot for Plymouth homes was $115, up 5.5 percent from the same period in 2011.
  • Meanwhile, the median home sales price was $182, based on 177 sales.
  • When compared to the same period in 2011, the median homes sales price has increased by 10.6 percent and the total number of home sales has increased by 12 percent.
  • Here’s how other communities did in terms of median sales price this past month:
    • Northville: $261,125
    • Canton: $159,000
    • Novi: $220,000
    • Livonia: $110,000
    • South Lyon: $167,000
    • Superior Township: $940,000
  • During the week ending on August 29, the average listing price for Plymouth homes was $310,993, up 1.8 percent from the week before.
  • During that previous week, the average listing price was about $305,400.
  • Broken down further, the average listing price for a 2-bedroom home was $177,459 during the week of August 29.
  • The average listing price for a 3-bedroom home was $236,954.
  • And the average listing price for a 4-bedroom home was $396,954.
  • Here’s a look at how other communities compared in terms of average listing price:
    • Northville: $443,118
    • Canton: $214,055
    • Novi: $357,088
    • Livonia: $141,454
    • South Lyon: $284,836
    • Superior Township: $213,200
