In Her Own Words
I’m Amy Lux. I have owned and operated For Pets Sake for 10 years. The majority of my business is in Plymouth, Canton and Northville Michigan. I am one of the luckiest people! I have found an occupation that allows me to do what I love the most: care for your canine friends.
When choosing the location for my business, the choice was easy. Plymouth Michigan is a dog town. From the dog-friendly businesses to the obvious love the people have for their pets, it was the place to be.
A Different Kind of Pet-Sitter
I know that feeling of wanting to go on vacation but needing to be sure your best friend will be cared for by someone who truly cares about them. I decided to open a pet-sitting business that was very personal. A lot of other pet-sitters have several employees, all with different attitudes and ideas about how to do their work. At For Pets Sake it is just me. You meet me and I am the only person who will be entering your home.
I am also insured and bonded to ensure your peace of mind.I come out for a free consultation to meet you and your canine companions for the first time. I consider myself blessed to have the opportunity to do what all dog lovers would love to be doing all day – playing with dogs. To me, it is the best job!
What I Do
I offer dog-walking several times or just once per day. I also offer visits several times per day if you are on vacation so that your canine family members can remain in their own home while you are away. For those who wish to have 24-hour attention, I welcome small dogs to stay at my home for overnight visits.
If your dog gets along with other dogs and is under 30 lbs., he or she is welcome to stay at my home and even sleep in bed with us! If your dog stays at my home, we go for daily walks to the park. I know that some of the smaller dogs don’t do well at home by themselves when you are away on vacation.
