Whew! Lots to do this weekend!

Yay!  Spring is definitely here and you can really tell.  People are getting out and enjoying the warmer air, sunshine (most days), and budding trees.  There is something about the first weekend in May that gets us excited for the warmer days to come, don’t you think?

We wanted to let you know about a few special events this weekend in each of Canton, Plymouth, and Northville.  Hope you get a chance to get out and enjoy!  And, hey, feel free to post a photo or two on our Facebook page – Living In Plymouth/Canton/Northville Communities!

Canton!

Healthy Summer Kick-off – Saturday, 10-2 p.m., in and near Summit on the Park and St. Joseph Mercy Health Center.  This free event offers health awareness and fitness activities with special guests and prizes, including an iPad2, Detroit Tigers baseball tickets, and Summit on the Park memberships!

Canton Fishing Derby – Saturday, 9-1 p.m., at the Heritage Park pond.  Open to Canton residents of all ages, just bring your own gear.  The pond will be stocked with rainbow trout and there will be prizes and lots of fun.  A fee of $5 per participant.  More information at cantonfun.org.

Plymouth!

Green Street Fair – all weekend in downtown Plymouth!  This is a huge event – over 90,000 people attended the last one.  200 exhibitors and 30 sponsors are expected this year.  This is a festival to educate and inform us about healthier and greener living.  There will be live music, “green” activities, and exhibits.  A great way to hang out outdoors this weekend!  More information is available by clicking here.

Penn Theater – of course, we always want to know what’s playing at The Penn!  This weekend, check out ALBERT NOBBS starring Glenn Close.  All seats just $3.00.  Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and 9:10 p.m., and Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Northville!

First Friday Experience – Friday, 6-9 p.m.  A wonderful, relaxing way to spend a Friday evening and celebrate the arts.  Stroll downtown Northville and visit the galleries, most of which will be open late.  Many other businesses stay open late too, and many offer complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages for their guests.

Down on the Farm Day – Saturday, 11 a.m. -4 p.m., at Maybury Farm.  For more information, click here. A very family-friendly event at a very popular and loved local attraction.  Check out the sheep shearing, antique tractors, spinners, and new baby animals!  New this year is a General Store and playground.  Great for all ages!

Stay in the know!

We’d love it if you would like us on Facebook where we keep you in the know about what’s going on around Plymouth, Canton, and Northville Michigan, as well as in the local real estate market.

And while you’re there, like us at Michigan Homes Coming Soon where we give you a sneak peek into homes before they hit the market.

And, as always, please do not hesitate to contact us here at The Bittinger Team if you ever have any questions or just need someone to talk to about your real estate needs.
