Looking to get out for a burger? Lunch or dinner, The Burger Spot at #3 – 550 Forest Avenue in Plymouth is a GREAT place to visit.
The Burger Spot is a nifty little restaurant in downtown Plymouth Michigan where you can take everyone – all ages and all palates – for a great lunch or dinner. The restaurant’s cook, Janice, doubles as the manager as well and she makes sure you feel at home and end up with what you came in for.
Start With A Base Model
You see, there are burgers and then there are burgers. At The Burger Spot, you start with your “base model” and work from there. This may be a Black Angus beef burger, a turkey burger, or a grilled chicken sandwich. The burgers all come with the standard issue lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickle. But, then you pick your “trim package” and can choose from fabulous options such as Cheez Whiz, burgundy mushrooms, grilled onions, salsa, sauerkraut, guacamole, feta, or bleu cheese.
Specialty Burgers Too
But it doesn’t have to stop there. They also offer additional menu items like vegetarian burgers, black bean vegetarian burgers, tofu dogs, vegan chili and vegan coneys. Additional offerings include a selection of amazing hot dogs and chicken tenders. Sliders are among their specialities. Oh, and we absolutely have to tell you that they only use genuine meat which they purchase from the butcher next door. No additives, no “pink slime”. (P.S. That’s not real newsprint under the burger – just nifty printed waxed paper.)
Pure Michigan
Sounds a bit like choosing a car, doesn’t it? Well, no wonder. The Burger Spot pays hommage to its home and all things Michigan. We were especially impressed by their really cool Pure Michigan” mural. This place is cool, the food is great, and the service friendly.
What about the spuds?
But, please, please, please, don’t forget the fries. These are delicious to start with, but we went all out and got the Garlic Parmesan fries and they are to die for! Prefer something more? Go for the Chili Cheese Fries or the Loaded Fries (with cheddar and pepper jack cheese, green onion, bacon, and sour cream). These can be a meal in themselves!
