Plymouth-Canton Ballet Company Offers Nutcracker

What’s the holiday staple in your life?

For some people, it’s the food.  Pretty sugar cookies, rum balls, fruit cake (?!), turkey and mashed potatoes, maybe egg nog.

For others it might be the season’s first snowfall, a visit with Santa, or the joy of get-togethers with friends, family, and pets.  There is a LOT to love about the holiday season no matter what forms the foundation of your celebration.

Something for us to cheer about!

At The Bittinger Team, we’re fond of every one of those wonderful things.  But this year, we have something else to be excited about.  Carly  Richards, our Listing Specialist, and Maria Kuechler, our Communications Specialist, both have young dancers cast in the Plymouth-Canton Ballet Company’s Nutcracker.

The show is cool!

Don’t roll your eyes!  This delightful production has everything to keep the whole audience engaged:  a pesky little brother, a party scene with huge Christmas tree,  an exploding cannon, an evil Rat King and adorable mouse minions, a wicked battle, magical lands, sparkling costumes,
and, of course, graceful dancers.

The PCBC cannot pull this off on its own, of course, as this ballet would not be complete without the music.  And these folks do not disappoint!  The PCBC is magnificently accompanied by the Michigan Philharmonic Orchestra as well as one of the very talented Plymouth-Canton Educational Park’s (high school) choirs.  An added bonus this year:  guest appearances by professional dancers Dawnell Dryja and Leonid Flegmatov of the Grand Rapids Ballet!

About the Ballet Company

The Plymouth-Canton Ballet Company is a nonprofit 501(3)(c) educational organization and is completely operated by volunteers who have a passion for dance in their hearts.  Proceeds from ticket sales are fully dedicated to producing the shows and improving the ballet company.

Dancers audition for and are cast in the production to enhance their regular training at their ballet studio of choice.  Thirteen dancers in this production hail from Plymouth or Canton!

Don’t miss this great production, and while you are there, give an extra cheer for our girls Jenna and Emma!
